Boston & Stewill Tourer

Boston & Stewill are a small British watch brand that will be familiar to anyone who has a keen eye for Kickstarter campaigns. They raised £20,000 via crowdfunding to bring their last model to market and they are now promoting a new watch, which they say at £325 is the most accessible Swiss watch on the market.

Boston & Stewill Tourer – Swiss Made Auto Watch

Having achieved full funding for the Tourer II within 24 hours of launching on Kickstarter, Boston & Stewill’s new model, the Tourer, has now gone into overfunding, with the opportunity for backers to secure a watch at a price well below its eventual RRP. Boston & Stewill watches are British designed and made in Switzerland, and they believe that The Tourer is one of the most accessible Swiss automatics available.

The Tourer is powered by the highly-rated Sellita SW260 movement and has a domed sapphire glass, open case back, calf-leather racing strap and a stainless steel deployment buckle. A choice of five dial colours is available, each matched with a corresponding or complementary colour for the hands, strap and stitching.

Boston & Stewill Tourer Limited Editions

Three base models are available in a choice of White, Black or Racing Green dials, at a reduced price for early backers of the first 125 that are produced. There are also two limited edition dial colours:  Grey and Midnight Blue, limited to 100 pieces each, with the first 50 available to Kickstarter backers at a reduced price.

The Tourer certainly is a striking timepiece, and the public have voted with their feet to reach its funding goal almost as soon as preorders were launched. £325 is great value for a Sellita-equipped watch, which can be over £1500 from the top brands.
